Demetria Largie is an elementary literacy coach and children's book author who is passionate about promoting cultural representation in literature and teaching essential life skills through engaging stories. Currently pursuing her master’s degree in Educational Leadership at Saint Leo University, Largie is committed to gaining a deeper understanding of students in larger, more diverse populations. This dedication fuels her mission to create meaningful and inclusive learning experiences for all children.
With over a decade of experience working with children from diverse backgrounds and abilities, Largie’s journey began in after-school programs and continued as she earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida. Noticing a lack of diversity in children's literature, she was inspired to write stories that better represent her community.
Motivated by her oldest daughter’s struggle with reading motivation, Largie now creates books that foster both a love of reading and the development of essential life skills. For booking inquiries or ordering information, contact info@diapersanddream.com
